The Carter ND, unlike the Tilly HL, has to come off to get to its works.

Take a 7/16" box end ignition wtench and grind to fit.

The Carter parts illustration is in with the Super 75A IPL.

thanks, carl. its apart & soakin. pretty simple carb. not seein a "check", unless the needle/seat [spring loaded] does that... not knowin how it pulls thru dry line, otherwise... we'll see tomorrow.

Also before you put it back in, shorten the the studs up to just the thickness of the flange plus nut.

I hope someone can help me out, I was brought a Power Kraft 4.0 to fix. There was parts of the rings in the muffler, so it needs a piston cylinder and rings. I have got it most the way tore down but can't get the clutch off. Does anybody have a good trick to get the clutch off these saws? Thanks in advance. Mike

You are wasting your time btw. There almost no NOS pistons or cylinders out there.

Snag a PL-5 off evilbay. They usually go cheap enuff.

I just picked up a sl-5 logmaster, this weekend good shape but no spark. 22" roller nose with 7/16 pitch chain half gone but enough to cut for a while. will post pictures soon.

Took it apart to see why no spark coil is crumbling apart. Need to find replacement.

Typical of the ancient Bendix Scintilla mag coil.

You can find them on evilbay for 35-40 bux.

Or, replace it with a with a coil from a Homelite XL-101 type or Remington SL-9 type.
