Things look pretty dry in Kansas. Same as Nebraska because drought is severe. If this keeps up, winter kill will be enormous. Great for dry firewood, however. I guess we have to look at the positive.

Got it. And I did see that before. Very cool set up.If you look at the last picture, you can see a little pickup jib crane by the tailgate. Or scroll back a few posts from yours on this page and you can see it better. It's pretty handy. I use that and a set of log tongs and a chain.
SMOOTH!!Here's the way I used to do it with a shop-made log lifter. Down position prior to the lift:

Up position with most of the weight handled by a pair of car trunk cylinder lifts:

Then I just rolled it on board. I seldom do this anymore because noodle cutting the rounds into halves and quarters usually makes them light enough to flip end over end on stairs made from bucked rounds:
