I have a small 855 jd that I made a set of forks for. It fits into tight spaces nicely. I use it to load the trailer and then haul it home and drag it off with my bigger tractor (case585). Works well most of the time. Lets me haul it out fast and cut split when I have more opportunity. Just push the mess into a corner and burn it off every year or two.

I'm probably one of the only people in my area out cutting. Don't blame anyone for staying in, it's been freakishly cold. Burnt through a months wood in the last two weeks. Feeding the beast every 6hr instead of the normal 12hr.
Forced me to get a couple trees dragged out and worked up. Was a hard fought three truck loads, but it needed done.

Burning it right now. Not as high moisture content as I was expecting. Was standing dead.

Yes to the owb.

Need to hunt up a few more loads to get me to spring. Not going to do this again. I'm going to haul a chit ton in for next winter and If I am able to move I'll just deal with getting rid of it then.

Steven

Edit: now that our temp has moderated and is back to above zero. My burn times are back to 12+ hr so that's helping a ton.

Got these in a load I got last week. Kind of wondering if it might be with slabbing out.

Neighborhood pick-ups. I’m on a 1.5 acre parcel with no trees, past grazing acreage.

Where's the fun in that though?
When you selling your saws and axes and getting one? Lol

No just a feature of admiration. I will be selling some saws, but I won't need a processor.
My mother in law burns firewood. She's not able to gather it up at this stage in life. But I do like the design and features.

That really is a cool setup for firewooding and milling.
I was doing the same for my FIL, until recently. He is in Assisted Living. I just cut for me now and sell a few cord here and there to friends.
