Kinda wished I had pics of my 181-281-288 project saw I built. Has a 394 crank in it that I picked up from warped 5.
Saw was given to me with a ring hung in the exhaust, plus 10 pounds of goo mixed w/bar oil stuck everywhere . Was beat to death!
Me 70yr old saw Mech buddy gave it to me. 600 clams later,,,,,,. frankensaw is alive. It's perty scary ,,,looks scary too...

Should be able to run an 044/ms440 filter cover on that 460 with the 044 tank .

If I remember right it wouldn't fit. Hell, I might of been trying to fit a 038 cover on it. It was terrible, parts everywhere.

I spent waaaay to much time and moola dickn around with mine.


Neighbor down da rd had a 4ft oak and a 3 1/ 2ft shell bark hickory taken down at the end of his driveway. Told him my other neighbor N myself would cut it all up and take 2/3rds and split his third for him.
He kinda thought we would show up w/a lil home owner saw and a maul.

I pulled out da 288 N 390 N fired em up. He bout chit!
In 1 day with a tractor loading we hauled 4 18ft tandem axle trailer loads home and split his third up in 3hrs the next morn.
He knows who to call next time.
