Had they not set foot on his property it would have been a whole different story. Can’t shoot to protect only property in daylight here. Not till they enter any part of their body into the residence. But they advanced on HIM into his own property that’s where they screwed the pooch. Glad I live where I live where criminals rights are very limited.

I have never attempted this, but would like to align my turret marking to the reference point on my Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24X50... Is there much risk of messing something up, or is it pretty straight forward?
Should just be 3 set screws, loosen and pull the cap straight off. Then push it straight on how you want it orientated.

I have zero resettable turrets already, and they are “zero’d” but the hash marks on the turret do not align with the indicator on the scope body (it’s actually about 1/2 “click” off center). The scope works perfectly, it’s just a bit annoying when I change my come-ups to remember “what side of the line” the mark was on.. I saw your shims and just assumed that maybe I could correct it myself. Maybe I still can?

Ah

The shims don’t set anything exact, just a custom zero stop. So when you dial up say 4 rotations you don’t have to remember. Just rotate it back down till it stops, which is about 1/4 rotation past my zero. Then just come back up to zero.

The set screws go into the top groove, should be infinitely adjustable to set anywhere. If you loosen it up I bet you could get it right where you want it.

Anyone here identify these rounds?
The wife of a friend who passed some time ago asked me to clear out some ammo...

The first picture is of 3 rounds. The first 2 on the left appear to be the same but the markings on the bottom are different.
The 3rd round is much different.

The right (shorter) one looks like 7.62x54r. The others maybe 30-06 but not 100% sure

LC53 is Lake City brass, caliber is 30-06 I believe. The black tip signifies armour piercing. The other 30-06 round is probably a FMJ and I dont know about the round on the right

The brass marked TW was manufactured by Twin City Ordinance....both look to be factory new as the primer crimps are still intact

The sealant on the primers and bullet means they are military.
Black tip is AP.

Did a shoot and move drill this past weekend. 10 rounds 5 shooting stations 20 yd closest station 60 at the furthest. 2 rounds at each. Didn't do any time limits this time. Been a long time since I even held a ar much less shot one.

But not bad for a fattie using a borrowed ar with a red dot freehand.

Circle was traced off the bottom of a aerosol can.

10-4 You know it. I'll be working on it I'm a bit rusty. I just have to pace myself. Don't need to be blowing a bunch of coin until I actually have it to spend! Hahahaha
