I believe he is about 17. Now tack 5 years on and that is 22. At that age I was getting ready to start teaching, my wife was working on her Master's Degree and the kiddos were not far behind. It amazing what a difference a few years make.

Does it matter? He is a kiddo with a chit ton more initiative then most his age. I give him grief no doubt but I also have respect for his drive. I spent a career working with kiddos that had no drive.

Several people had asked , somewhat in roundabout ways how old he was, and well what can we say some of the clans inquiring minds seemed to be waning a cleared timeline.

i wear work boots and walk in rocks all day long at work.....yesterday i rained the whole day so i wore my new green danner work boots for the entire shift....feet dry and so sore from new boots. i feel your pain
