Let what go? This thread is for random thoughts, correct?... with random thoughts typically comes with discussion and sidebar conversations... Im going to Assume you dont agree with some of what has been said so you just want it squashed?

No politics. No religion. It's in the rules. You agreed to the rules when you signed up. If that is a problem for you, just log off. As for how I feel about it....I'm a Republican. Not a Trump supporter, but we have far more in common than you will ever know.

I've let this stuff go on for a few weeks because we just had an election....and some political stuff is unavoidable. But as always, it is getting out of hand, and quickly becoming the main focus for a few people.

Now, can we let it go?

I'm neither Left or Right... I'm for what's best for the people of this Nation... I gave an Oath and that Oath never dies.
I get it man... political and religious debates definitely tend spiral for the worse when they're not moderated properly and then opinions/feelings get injected into the mix.

explain to me how this is going to happen mike. the US has never produced more oil, in fact no country in the history of civilization has pumped more oil than we are right now.
social security is funded by payroll taxes, so what the *f-word does selling oil have to do with that? soc security taxable max is $168k i believe. the only people makin big money on sellin oil are exempt from paying soc sec taxes on 99.9% of their income already. if we dont tax the people that are making tens of millions of dollars a year, and we are gonna cut tax on tips and overtime, wheres the $ come from?

Our refineries are set up for thick oil that is less expensive than the light oil our country is sitting on. We sell the oil that is pumped up f4om under this country. Found out about those facts in the last few days. $trillions to change refineries was said also. I own stock in a company that pays good dividend. Sell lpg across oceans. We have good supply of natural gasses. It's the regulations that screw it up
Tax on imports will make our producers of goods more competitive with cost of goods coming in. When more people are employed in this country our gov't will support fewr while more are self supporting and paying a bit of tax $. Things produced in this company have been better quality in most cases than stuff coming in from Pakistan, China and so on. IMHO

When I was real young there wasn't a lot of food. Sometimes we missed meals. Mom would get out the cookbook and read recipes to help curb hunger pains. My brother was hard of hearing and liked to starved to death.
