More of a helpful tip than a random thought, but a random thought did inspire this. If you go to "napaecatalog.com" you have access to pretty much all the same catalogs as a regular employee does, and maybe even more. Of course, for non-current books that doesn't apply.

I recently ate Wasabi coated peanuts expecting them to be spicy/hot, but they weren't.

Just now watching the movie "Wasabi" I recall that disappointing snack and Googled Wasabi vs. Horseradish which I love to eat by the table spoons full.
I did not expect what I read!

I have to be careful with horse radish nowadays. I got some REALLY good (STRONG) HR and the reaction Had me scratching my HYDE off. I love the stuff and I am envious of you ....

Horseradish and garlic I can eat pure without anything and it doesn't upset my digestion.
When I eat garlic I consume a clove with every spoon/fork full of food, I usually honk down 2-3 bulbs/heads in one meal - but my pup dislikes me for it the next couple days.

I've been doing the four day a week work week for the past 17 years. I wouldn't want it any other way. Besides, it gives more time for ranch work. A lot more fun than my "normal" job.

I have been working 6 days a week 3 weeks a month for nearly 15 years.
This 4 day work week is so relaxing, but it won't last.
I don't think I can go back to a 6 day/week work schedule, I might quit my job of nearly 30 years when that happens.

A fellow can just flat out get burnt out with to much of the same thing all the time, unless you really love what your doing.

Damn, I scraped my left hand unloading firewood out of the tractor crate, I burnt my right hand by accidently touching my shops hot cast iron fireplace, and now this - and I don't even know how I did it.

It was a good day, I won't challenge my luck and call it quits!

i would retire right now if i could. im only 55 though. i seriously dont know how i am going to work at my place of employment for 12 more years. its becoming increasinly unbareable to go there.

I am a metal worker, I love the machinery I have access to.
But the $#!t hit the fan when I trained my own replacement and got kicked back into mass production just to watch complete idiots get the same paycheck as me manning a CNC mill yet I am supposed to be the mentor and help them out.

This year might prove to become a turning point, or at least a wind of change.
I will see how it goes!

Same here, heading toward 50.
Only ever worked at my current employer, got exploited for quickly picking up on new stuff, newer got promoted - standing still for nearly 3 decades!

I am light-years from retirement!
My body is aging, I feel it.
