Wish we had a few more ducks in our area
We have wild ducks im my area, but they stay close to the river.
I was referring to my Indian Runner ducks, interesting little birds!

I have come to realize that I love answering calls from unknown caller numbers just to find out they are call center or advertising companies so I hang up and block their numbers!

I must have 50+ of those numbers blocked by now.

Blocked 2 just today!

You know what's sad? They just make up a new number and call again.

True , it is actually the phone companies that are enabling the call centers schemes.

There used to be dedicated predial numbers for crap like that, You could simply block all "0600" numbers and never hear from them.
Now they call from all and any predials.

The moment they introduce themselves as this&that I pretend to be polite and say "Thank You, I don't need anything!".
But they have the audacity to reply "Sir, You don't loose anything listening to what we offer!" , that is when I hang up!

Phone and internet went out couple nights ago (after the big east coast storm).
stayed off till late next day.
Phone co recording just said "outage in your area".

After service comes back on, I try check email and Google has blocked my accounts again.
Same crap as last time the phone company worked on the system near here.

"try using the same computer in the same location as the last time you logged in"
is the un-helpfull hint from google.
And yes, I AM on the same computer at the same eFing location.

Couple months back: Another time of having trouble with google mail access
Lightning strike a few hundred ft up the road and phone co repairs stuff at main road and buries new line to house.
Tech doesn't change the modem though?
Google email was working before tech shows and says trouble at street etc.
Tech goes up road and does something to get phone service back on and leaves temporary wire in yard.
After tech leaves, I try to check email and google has blocked access.

wtf?

Last week was below freezing, today we had ice rain, and now the rain turned to snow - should make for interesting road conditions and even "better" traffic conditions with all those SUV's driving on summer tires!

Good thing I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow, although I might take a joyride outside of town limits.

I don't mind driving on bad roads. It's the other drivers that scare me.
Exactly! It gets horrible around us in the snow because we get alotta people coming up from Sacramento area and being bad drivers is just what they do! I hate towing trailers down that way it’s stressful.

City people are skeery. Last winter some idiot was trying to take his 5th wheel down a windy mountain road well after it was snowing, he was sliding all over the place. Or the people going up to Tahoe who stop in for chains/cables, yeesh. "I'm taking my Tesla up there, I should be fine, right?" "How fast can I drive with cables? Like 65?" "No, 25 is the limit" "Can't I drive 65?" "No" "What if there's not a lot of snow on the road? Then can I do 65?" "Nope". Or this past week, it hailed enough to leave a little bit on the roads and people were getting into wrecks. FFS! It's not icy, it's not snowy, it's mostly just rainy, how in the hell are you losing control and crashing?

we have so many people from central to southern california that have moved here. they *f-worded up the driving and real estate not to mention their super far left ideals. they dont know how to drive in the rain let alone snow. then we get freezing rain all the time and the dumb bastards dont stay home when the forcast is calling for snow and ice (because we never just get snow we always get both often time more ice than snow) then they try to drive home from work and get stranded in traffic jam for six to eight hours. just cant understand why they think its safe to drive on an inch of ice
