I hope you have more luck then me, special if I get one with KS jug, just dont have luck with them.Going to have to see what else I can get from my Husky dealer . We were looking in the back building today and he has a couple 262's .
Did it have the rubber keeper on it?I love the 262. It does piss me off from time to time though. Since I've owned it I've lost two bar adjuster bolts... The second one was earlier today... I don't know if I somehow installed it wrong or if the nut is simply worn enough that it's a bit loose. The next one may have a VERY light coating of either RTV or Loctite on it to avoid losing it too...
Lost mine. Same way. New one has the keeperNo... I assume it was supposed to? I had no idea...
Yep. I still have it and have enjoyed it. It is running well.dbittle bought my "42" on the AS.
Good to see ya here.Yep. I still have it and have enjoyed it. It is running well.
I own 2 of my favorites. 288xP 2101xpWhile I have owned several 2series saws, I have to say my 262 is by far my favorite. It is ported, MM, Squish band cut, Hda87 carb and I run a 18" b/c on it. I purchased a few years ago and shipped out immediately to have it ported. I have owned many 262's but this one is staying where it's at.

The wood doesnt care if its cut with a shelf queen or a beat runner, it looks fine to meMy 288XP Lite. Hands down my favorite saw that I own. I have a 262XP also, but I have yet to use it. I just got my replacement tank on a few days ago... As you can see, the 288 is not a shelf queen...
That is a beauty.288XP
