Love that thing, was a HF sale special. Holds numerous tools, wedges, pulleys, sharpening files, marking pens, tape measure, stump vice, etc. Very convenient.
Well I'm going to copy it ;).

The only thing I'm going to miss about the bucket, is it holds a spare bar and my ax.

It's a Madsen's 3/4 wrap. They are no longer produced

Dang, that's my luck. Wrap handles are practically non-existent in my area. Was thinking of ordering a 661 in a wrap, not sure if I can. On the Stihl website it says only available in certain areas.

If your local guy can't get one, contact one of the dealers on the site, and they should be able to help you. While I am not a wrap handle fan, it is what I would order ... comes with the cool vented spikes, HO chain cover, and I think a heavy duty oiler. They are very nice saws! (and I got a set of those vented spikes on my 044 w/28" light bar, makes for a great light weight felling saw).

Oil pumps are same on a 661 wrap or non wrap

Only difference is some have a pin knocked in from the factory for oil flow I believe??? there was something in the manual about it

Sent from my non internal combustion device.

Good to know. Thanks
Do you have a part number for the vented spikes? I haven't been able to find them. Would like a set for my 044 also.

No, but if you talk to a Stihl dealer and request a pair of the vented 661 R spikes, they should be able to get them for you. IMO, they are way cool on a long bar saw, and they work well also (some trees get very irregular where you have to cut them).

Thank you sir.
Agreed, a single spike doesn't cut it ( no pun intended) when trying to make the notch on a humbolt.

I hate the stock spike on my 562 for that. I'm going to look and see if I can fix another larger one to fit until I can come up with the bigger set.

I have an eBay post saved on my computer. This guy has a ton of different spikes. I think he fabs them. I will post it when I get home.
