I have pretty saws and this one isn't real dirty yet. It.was bought at a pawn shop, then run clearing residential lots until it came to me. Changed fuel tanks and JB welded the bar stud.back in that kept falling out. Then some wear items, new carb, and such. Dead stock and it just works. Always what I toss in the truck these days.

An open port, and stock, that won't cut no wood lol. Some days I grab a stock 353, seems to get the job done just fine, I even have one that would go with that 365 its the earlier one without the purge bulb.
That 365 is a good looking saw.
I snagged up a good looking special to put all my xpw parts on, right now they're on an XT chassis.

Can tend to circulate dirt from the base of the sump up to the cutters from the force of the exhaust coming out.
That’s why I went with dual exits, pto side more level.

And if the concern is felling, then cutting it a little higher wont hurt any, I’d imagine he’s not felling for veneer.

Great input though, most saws that are used for low cuts or stumping can greatly benefit from blocking the pto side entirely and exit out the flywheel side

Dang nice job, so long as the chain brake still trips
I would love to take credit for that muffler mod, but that is the handywork and hours of time put in by Mr Jay Rutkiewicz. It misses the chain completely, doesn't get caught with a thrown chain, and the brake flag was modified to clear the tube. Its true stainless tube as well, the man is a craftsman.

As far as the bench goes, my buddy and employer actually built those. I love having a relatively clean place to work on the saws, bars, chains etc.
