Did you dye that housing Steve? Pretty cool lookin.
I have several vids of different ones and am the proud owner of a 340/346...He's too busy making pro saw vids....doesnt have video time for these lowly clammys.
I take it you were referencing the gift I offered in the recent raffle. It was just that, specifically what I wanted to give away of myself and as well as surely have a great job for the winner as well, instead of having to spend the extra time and energy it takes to put into a one hit wonder, clammy or not. He's too busy making pro saw vids....doesnt have video time for these lowly clammys.
No, wasn't refferancing that at all. It was just a joke...probably not a Very good one it appears. Lol Very cool of you to help out another forum member though. Very admirable thing to do.I take it you were referencing the gift I offered in the recent raffle. Look for some American clam shells to come up here in the future, we'll see how they turn out together
180 psi is really stout for a stock band.last time I tested my 350, it was at 180+ psi and the gauge was leaking. It's plenty hard to pull over, so I do use the decomp when cold
Just remember, compression makes heat. I like some compression, but not too much.Decomps definately help... I rarely remember to use them. Mostly I plugged it to eliminate possible future leaks. With the base cut access to the decomp requires removing the cylinder(tight fit).
Need to find my compression tester...guessing compression is now well over 200 psi?

Indeed. A very good point. We need all the heat we can get up here....Just remember, compression makes heat. I like some compression, but not too much
Looks really strong!
I see you have an EL42 on that one. Did you notice a major difference vs the stock carb? More torque? More HP? More rpm?
My luck with them has been hit and miss. Mostly miss when it comes to chinese power sports carbs. You'd think they could look at a mikuni or Keihin carb and copy the jets instead creating some oddball crap that never existed. But I digress. Anyhow we'll see how it does I reckon.Lolks like it cuts. I have not had any luck with chinese carbs.
