Should be on the meteor website.
Thanks Doc. 👍 Much appeiciated.
It appears the Meteor is 19mm from center axis of the piston pin bore to the top of the piston
I'll get some measurements shortly.

Shooting for 105*, 125* and 75* From what I've read from several sources on here it appears the Husky 350 likes 18-20* blowdown.

It depends how you port it too. A bigger/more aggressive exhaust port will allow less blowdown and more transfer timing. A more lazy exhaust port will require more blowdown. Muffler mod size will have some say-so in this too.

That's a good point. Completely makes sense. I'm currently at 65% ex port/ cylinder width. But that's cut out of cardboard and held tight to the curvature of the cylinder....so probably closer to 60% actual width....Goal is a true 65% width.

Thanks for the input Isaac. 👍

20230322_133604.jpgMeteor piston appears to be the same or very darn close to the factory dished piston in regards to pin to to heigth. 14+ 5(half of 10mm pin)=19

I kinda feel like a mathematician now. 😏

I found daylight a few times on mine. It happens when taking it to the max. I have a curved caliper for measuring port wall thickness and I was flirting with the zero mark.

Intake and beveling are also finished...have get some more pics.
Decided I'd cut the skirts (to feed the lowers) on the chinesium piston(waiting on the Meteor), get the cylinder glued down, open up the muffler and give it a test run tomorrow.

Haha was curious how far you hogged those out.
Mostly i just blended it in where the caps meet the uppers. After raising the transfers it leaves quite a miss match. It's gooder now. 😆

I was aiming for all-out flow. The flocked air filter can't flow enough air for it.
It definately runs! What filter are you running on yours? Also, been meaning to ask you if your running the stock carb or a zama el42? Or other??

I am currently using a flocked filter because the filter I got from hlsupply leaked fines into the intake and marred up the intake side of the piston/cylinder. You can see the damage in the picture I posted earlier. I am going to get an oem 44 micron mesh filter, and to hell with price. I'm done with the chicom ripoffs and low quality imitations.

I am running the stock carb, or what I assume is the stock carb. It was on the saw when I got it. The saw would absolutely scream with the mesh filter on it, well north of 16k, and it was enough to make me nervous.

I do see the marring now. That sucks. Good to know. I'll avoid the cheap mesh filters and keep an eye out for an oem part. North of 16,000? Damn! That's screaming alright! Doesn't sound like these have a limited coil. 👍

Cleaned up and matched the base to the cylinder

Ground the plastic down some on the intake partition and plastic intake sleeve....since the jug is dropped about .040" now. Learned that on a Dyno Joe (red97) video. Seams like a good idea.

I reckon the next step is to open up the existing muffler outlet, add a second outlet and modify the 346 support bracket.
