When my father used to build a car motor, once complete he would get the engine to operating temp then hit the gas from nothing to wide open several times until everything was seated and ran well. Open headers of course. Ground would shake. Something you never forget. He used to tell me the rings are now seated. Lol.
I start a saw just to make sure it will run then kill it after a couple seconds.
The next time it runs will be wfo in wood
They seat pretty fast. Way less than a tank if you do it right.
I checked it with a tach after that,it was dead nuts 14000
I set the high by ear,I tend to always be around 14000. The saw is plenty rich at 14 and if it was mine that's where it would stay.
