Mind explaining the stick shift to me? Very neat collection all of em run?[/QUOTE

Back in the day, late 50's and 60's you could by a saw that was direct drive
or the same saw with gear drive. Homelite came out with the Stick Shift
and gave you the best of both. With the switch of a lever as seem in one
pic. You could have a direct drive or a geardrive all in one saw.

Nice stuff Lee. My friend and I found a 12-25 in a barn in PA when we were in high school in the late 70s. We got it running, kind of, and then lost interest in it. I think his Dad ended up throwing it in a dumpster. Makes me nauseous now just thinking about that missed opportunity to have restored that baby!

I liked how the bar could be rotated flat for a felling cut and then vertical for bucking. However, I wasn't too keen to be holding the stinger handle when we were trying it out in some wood.
