I got a 12x12 locust gate post that's about 25 plus years old. Might make a good test.

Hey hedge! Derrick, Tim and I are making the trip. We will show up in a minivan looking to kick some azz. Probably leave disappointed. Did we decide if this is over the log or hot start or cold start? Down up down? Looking forward to this!

Guys this is my first gtg and I'm hopeful of a great event. I have purchased 14- 8x8 and 4- 10x10 poplar cants for race day. ( Also will have some poplar logs) That is based on 30 guys showing up to race 3-6 cube saws. I think I'm more than prepared, but it's been difficult to get a real accurate head count. I'm more than happy to have some guys out Friday night to test and run some saws, but I want to make sure we save enough cant wood for Saturday

We like to make it hard and mark the cants @5" to keep folks focused..

Depending on how many guys actually show to race I'm thinking hot over the block 3-cut.
