OK this is the final video for the winners bracket for 3 cube.
There ended up being three competitors so they raced against the stop watch, two different guys do the timing and then average the two times.
All three bracket 1 finalists back to back:

Bracket 2 was guys who had lost in the first round, paired off and then the winner of bracket 2 faces the bracket 1 winner for a chance to get back on top.
Everyone in the class gets to run at least twice this way.
Bracket 2 races are a single cut, though some of us cant follow simple instructions

Tomorrow the big event: bracket 1 champion vs. bracket 2 champion in a no holds barred, bloodthirsty death match...n stuff

A quick recap of how this all went down for guys who might be curious.
All the guys who wanted to run in three cube were drawn at random out of a hat and paired up for the first round. Winners moved forward and losers moved onto the second bracket for a chance to fight back to the top.
This keeps a bad piece of wood or some other random thing from knocking a guy out altogether and makes sure that everyone gets to run their saw at least twice, newcomers will value the experience because it is totally different to race against an opponent than just in the back yard

Bracket One (winners bracket) Nate won three heats in round one over strong competitors in Matt, Brad and Adam and in the final for bBacket One there was a three way timed run-off where he edged out Shawn and Ryan.

Bracket Two (losers bracket) Shawn had gotten knocked out of round one by Adam and ran the table in round two to reach the final over John and Matt and then won the three way timed tie breaker over Dave and Kevin.

3 Cube was a fierce class and here is the final heat.
