I only got one wrong having spent many years in a dealership, but many of those questions are wrong. The average modern saw sold with a 16" bar does not have an output of 3 S.A.E. horsepower and the coil questions actually date back to the days of breaker points. Modern coils don't necessarily have a truly defined primary and secondary coil structure.

The quiz was probably put together by a non native English speaker the way they used screwed up terms and descriptions. A lot of incorrect info and just seemed to be put together by someone looking in a book and not really having much knowledge of saws. A carb is a tube? I got 18/20 but guessed a lot at what they were trying to convey.

I didn't realize that a 2 cycle turns twice as fast as a 4 cycle engine. I always thought that 10,000 RPM was the same for either style motor. It really was a Commie Core quiz. Maybe my 17 score would turn into a 20 as long as I participated!

Yeah, the question about how many "turns" a two stroke makes compared to a four stroke... If it's rpm, it would be exactly the same. What do they mean by "turns"? That's an example of why I think it was put together by a non English speaker.

I interpreted... "turns" as "strokes" and that whoever wrote it doesn't know anything about anything mechanical.....

Took the whole thing. Apparently chainsaw pistons are all 38mm and chainsaws cost about $100. Thanks for posting juggy, now i will open my own chainsaw repair service.
