CS-520 is a clam shell design, therefore it may be not considered a pro model, even though it has adjustable oiler and alu handle. Weighs 4.9 kg, while CS-501SX only 4.7 kg.Now that I think about it, the echo 520 I had was very light and it was a ripper. That’s one saw I really do miss- probably bc I sold it far to cheap.
European or African sparrows?Ported or stock? Saw clean or dirty? .050, .058, or .063? How many sharpenings on the chain? Aftermarket sprocket? Flocked filter or mesh? Which dogs are on it? What brand of bar? M-tron or not?
Fuggin variables.....
I have a 6401 with the 79cc top end just not sure on the weight of it. Got to be pretty close to stock though. Or pretty close to a Dolmar 7900. I'll see if I can find some numbers. Sorry didn't see this sooner to reply back. Others are slacking.I’m wondering if anyone has a 79cc moded from a dcs6401 weight? I’m considering a local saw that looks to be in pretty good shape but it might be a bit to heavy for my grandma shoulders. They say getting old isn’t for whimps but I guess that doesn’t apply to me.
Thanks mate! I made a deal with a local guy for a 6401 with a 79cc top but he’s gone MIA. So not sure I’ll be getting one. After yesterday I probably won’t be buying a new saw for a bit anyways. I messed up a notch cut after hitting some barb wire and got my first tree of the day hung up. I couldn’t find my throw ball but screwed my line to a baseball lol but then threw my shoulder out getting it up there(blew up both my shoulders in different bike wrecks) in the process of throwing the line in the tree my dumb phone fell out of my pocket and of course I stepped on it. Glad I had my climbing rope in the truck(it’s amazing how much it stretches) I had planned on get 4 trees dropped, bucked, split, and cleaned up before the snow tomorrow. Well at least it will get me out of the in-laws cook out today14.8 lbs
