Cutting the piston flat lets you cut the chamber flat. With a flat squish you can take more out than arc chamber. The more you can take out of the chamber the more you can take off of the base. Which gets you the lower ex.

Wound up at 190 psi.

It pulls pretty well. Not sure if it runs as my others though. A lot less compression.

Definitely a firm choice for someone who wants a 44.7 and can't find oem.

Ain't nothin wrong with that. It's strong. If you didn't look, and didn't know ahead of time, you wouldn't know that was AM.

I think it's a bit peppier and torquier when you watch the videos side by side.

So OEM wins again, but the way they are ported is apples vs. oranges.

Nice job on both. Tough to judge both of these saws until they are fully broken in.
Only then will you truly be able to judge the strengths.

Update.

Saws been used daily. No issues at all. It's coming apart in 7 months.
