I like Kodiak cakes whole wheat... extra gluten! [emoji38]

Can't go wrong with french toast either. Here's a recipe from a friend of mine also... over the top good eats. Get some blueberries to maximize the experience.

Sweet. I'm good with the gluten...I gotta pick up some lactose free milk it looks like though. There's a store that sells the box pancake mix, but it's like $10+ a box--no feck'n way I'm paying that...

There's always 5-10 degrees difference between here and town. Almost always a breeze up here... summer good, winter not so much.

I was a little afraid that the wind would make the winter more harsh, but supposedly the lake/sea effect is the bigger concern here. It can dump a meter of snow in no time.

This video is our village back in January:

My pick for a similar in price replacement is a Louisiana that allows for the direct flame cooking and you actually can set the temp and it will maintain it. Not all do this from that company so you would have to read up. My Traeger doesn't either. Say you set it at 180. You might see 160-200, depending in the outside temp, as it heats then "simmers". The type where you set it at the temp you want, say 180 again, it keeps it there or very close because it actually monitors the temp in relation to your setting. That is worth the upgrade.
My Traeger Pro 34 never varies more than +/- 5 degs after crankin' it up initially.

My deepest sympathies to the Navy brethren on the loss of the USS Bonhomme Richard. It hurts my heart to see a ship lost like that.

Yeah I've been following that......damn shame. Thank goodness no loss of life.

Good morning men.

Morning Miscreants.

It has been so warm/hot lately I have gotten out of the habit of checking the temps outside before getting dressed for my morning walk. Let me tell you that 55f felt a little brisk in shorts and a tee this morning.

Looks like it will be a nice day overall, high 70’s come afternoon.

We don't have two "F" Shaffer money up here. Her mom handled the vehicle, Dad insures it. "At least I got a Jeep Dad!" "No you didn't, but it should keep you safe".View attachment 249926
Good thinking
She can learn to work on it to keep it on the road.

I just watched the Motortrend early release on the new Ferd Boinco. I have never been so disgusted in my life. They got a cross between a Jeep wrangler and a Toyota FJ cruiser. Just so disappointed.

Having owned a 1966 Bronco, there just hasn't ever been a substitute for the Gen 1's. They were head and shoulders above the rest. I didn't even want to get my hopes up with this new one.

Can you find Bisquick? That's what I always used for making pancakes.
