290's are disappointing without mods.
025 sips fuel and may cut just as fast with lp chain, ymmv.

The actual fixture holds on the cam actuators.
So its useless until the chain is on.
The way I do it allows me to keep the cams where I want while the chain is off and during installation.

Nothing wrong with it. Just really poor power to weight ratio to the point where my muffler modded 490 would outcut it and the 025 would stay right with it

you have to open the mufflers on them to make them actually run good
