Got finished welding at 5:45 this afternoon. Drug up and was pulling out by 6:05. Welding lead reels are awesome!
Got home about 8:45 and got a shower.
Hope all you fellers are close to a weekend. Got tomorrow off, so thats nice.

I was sitting on top of a 12' step ladder welding a brace for a door frame to a bar joist....and a ball of slag landed in my lap. It proceeded to burn thru my pants, and roll down between my right nut and my leg. I pitched the stinger one way, the helmet the other, and damn near fell backwards off the ladder.

But....I learned a few lessons that very day.

I also got zapped while I was hemmed up in a tight spot welding the last big section. Just enough room for head and shoulders to fit. My leathers were sweated through, so when Frank lit up, he lit me up too. There Will be bruises...
