i hate leathers as they are heavy and hot
i dont use them even if im arc gouging
usually only thing i wear is a dark colored long sleeve shirt when working

Company issues FRC shirts. Those work pretty good, though most of em now have A LOT of holes...
Frank and I both went with leathers today, as there was a lot of overhead to do. I even laid my leather sleeves on my legs to keep the sparklies at bay while was welding OH sitting on a bucket. Shoulders are rugged, so OH is tticky these days. Have to two-hand it. Hard to get the right hand to work with the left while doing the fast freeze dance.

Done that too. Had one right on the tip. That was bad, but the worst was a piece of rust that the torch popped off and it somehow stuck to one of my front teeth. I thought my fugging head exploded.
That is a new level of pain. In the ear isnt even that bad.

Got finished welding at 5:45 this afternoon. Drug up and was pulling out by 6:05. Welding lead reels are awesome!
Got home about 8:45 and got a shower.
Hope all you fellers are close to a weekend. Got tomorrow off, so thats nice.
