Friend at work for a recall for paint on her 2015 Toyota RAV4
They gave her a rental for three weeks
And it cost just under 13k
She hoped they'd buy it back but they didn't.
Toyota treated me differently
They replaced my tundra frame no rental
Car and they left my tail lights and all my signal and running lights unhooked I had to fix them myself.

Was it the same dealer?

If you take the Corvette out of the equation, the best vehicle GM is offering right now is the Chinese assembled Buick Envision. Kind of sad if you really think about it.
1/2 ton trucks really slipped not long after the shift to Mexico.
I'd follow this up with the Enclave/Traverse/Acadia.
The 3/4 and 1 ton trucks are on par with the Mopar and blue oval offerings.
The rest is iffy...

I see them at their worst though. Nobody takes a perfectly running vehicle in.

I know the Japanese cars never have failures according to the internet, but they are having many of the same issues plaguing the other manufacturers right now. Śhìt products.
I wanted to like this Ed, but it's so sad what the "domestic" car makers have become. That POS Colorado was put together in Missouri.

Look around everywhere you go. How many people do you see that actually take pride in their work and strive to do it to the absolute best of their ability these days no matter what the job is? I bet that number is pretty low.

Very low from what I see, especially younger people. The company i work for will be hurting when us older folks retire. They have already asked me if I would work part-time when I retire. I've been there a long time, they have never paid very well considering what they expect out of people. I don't have much respect for the company anymore but I still take pride in my work because that's just how I was raised.

The sign shop I worked at had really tight tolerances when I started then upper management decided it'd be cheaper to let stuff slide and see if customers complained. Felt pretty disheartening.

Evening diks. Another man down at the shop I work for. It was not a surprise. Spent the day working the docks again. Tomorrow they have some service work for me then back to the docks for Thursday. I was asked to smoke a brisket for a friend this weekend and against my better judgement I said yes. I will be asking the smoking gods to let my pitboss get me through an overnight cook. The neighbor has a hopper extension I might use to really load up the pellets. I’ll probably set an alarm to get up and check things throughout the night as well. Don’t pull it to hard the rest of the week. After all it is a holiday weekend and some of us will be honoring those that have served.

Good morning. 54°F/12°C going up to 56°F/13°C. Misty out, 30% chance of rain this afternoon. Went to urgent care yesterday. Poison ivy on left arm and chest. Seemed to be spreading. Got it from doing the cottonwood tree removal last week. Steroid pills and cream should settle down the immune system. Washed the 120' and 160' ropes but now don't trust them as they were repeatedly pulled through the poison ivy area dragging the limbs away from the pond.

Hope it heals quickly.

Take them ropes to the laundromat and run them through a front load machine with a good degreaser. Dawn, simple green, etc. on the hottest cycle. I’m assuming these ropes are general use and you aren’t using them for climbing/life support. If they are life support ropes don’t use Dawn on them it can weaken the rope fibers.
