We’ve started to prep the garden. Garlic popped up a couple weeks ago so pulled the straw. Onions look great. Wife got over 70 starters going in the greenhouse today and moved lettuce out of the greenhouse to the beds.
Been fun to trudge through the snow to pick lettuce for salads this winter 🤪

Evening saw sniffers. Had a decent day of getting some things done around here. Then helped my wife make dinner for a friend that was just diagnosed with cancer. Apparently it’s in several locations including brain and lungs. The lungs and coughing is what caused them to find it on a chest Xray then is spiraled from there from what I gather. He’s one of county SO detectives and has never failed to back me up out here when needed, even if he was off duty. He is also on our VFD crew and he’s helped on a few wildfires and crashed we’ve had out here. Hopefully he can beat it, but honestly, it’s not looking very promising. We took food for him and his family and he wasn’t able to talk much before he was out of breath. He isn’t married, and does t have anyone family real close by. His brothers live about an hour away. Keep him in your prayers. Night slackers!
Will add him to the list☹️ the list just keeps getting longer and longer

Gary....any news on Lydia?
It really depends on how you look at it, the dr is pleased with what he is seeing but her face is very swollen on one side and weak on the other. She really doesn’t look good and hasn’t really felt like eating. This should all correct itself over the next few days but will likely be worse than yesterday.

The best news is that while her speech is a little rough, it is there and no worse than expected considering her current facial struggles. The spot the cut out was very close to the speech centres so that was a major concern but it seems like there will be no long term effects there.

That sounds promising.

My garlic and horseradish are coming up as welll. Looking forward to planting season. I need to clean out the asparagus bed. Might do that today…weather permitting.

Morning fellas. Got some things to do at home today. Going to be a busy week ahead as the vfw had an individual quit and leave the club in shock. I was asked to help with things during the morning hours so vendors can do their tasks as needed. The shop hasn’t replied to my work release yet which really makes things fun. Enjoy your Sunday

The boy and I made some surfboard racks from scratch. Well not total scratch, didn't mill the timber or anything...
Took forever to set up the neighbour's drill press for the 22.5 degree 1 inch holes for the dowels, but it came together good enough for who it's for. The sit-on kayak is next for "a store it better'.

Keep safe ay.

I do mine at 18 3/4° but after the metric to actual units it's likely in the ballpark. Nice work Adam.
