I only have five, so losing 20% of egg production for weeks at a time is a deal. On top of that, she stays there for many weeks. I've only ever had it be for a couple like you in the past. I set her off to gather the eggs under her daily, and have even tried getting her on the roost at night. She's stubborn. Next spring I will have her hatch out her replacement.
I've got four myself. Fortunately we don't go through tons of eggs so one going broody isn't a huge deal but I know it stresses out the hen and it's not good for them.

My buddy bought a Kawasaki Ninja H2 today, it tested at 210mph off the lot😂. I’m gonna take it for a rip later.

You'll post his obituary soon.
Friction? Maybe just wore down enough over time.

I suppose, but there really isn't any friction. It just catches the clutch drum in that little notch so it spins.

If it was totally broken off it would make more sense to me, I've seen that a few times.

Was just a guess Ryan, I have nothing even remotely like that. All my saws are shindaiwa or Jonsered.

What's wrong with the machine Tim?
Hey my heavy quip friend. Hope all is good with you and the D2.
Typical low power complaint. This was a low hour dirt machine. Got converted to a third member shear machine. Something is dragging the engine down in multi function. No electronic errors in engine or hydraulic system. So it's challenging for sure. Been tuning on the hydraulics all day on 6 pumps on the open center systems. Will hopefully return on Friday to continue. I can't keep machine down for two consecutive days. You need a Vaca in the states I'll put ya to work LOL!
