Nothing like the smell of burning mouse urine & feces.

Finally got the taste outta my throat, and the sweet smell outta my nose. I even wore a mask, and did it outside with a breeze, but that stink just gets to ya.

Yesterday afternoon I melted all the steel off 500 lbs of copper / brass radiators, to make them worth more money at the scrapyard as clean, when I woke up this morning I could still smell that burning chit.

Mice setup camp in some of them, nasty when the torch heats up dead mice carcasses, and their left over urine, nothing smells better....

I can trade you some, it's rained here almost everyday for the last two months except a handful of days.

It either rains at night, or during the day, or both. Last night it rained all night, let up for a few hours early morning, then a few storms blew through mid morning, then cleared out for most of the day.....and it's freaking raining again right now. All the rain has helped keep the temps down, last year this time we were in triple digits already and dryer then popcorn. The last few weeks it barely hits 70 for high, few days ago it was in the 30's at night, first time I've ever had a fire in the wood stove in mid June, it was pretty nippy.

We've had more rain in the last two months, than the last 3 years combined. Standing water in all the low spots. All the snow melt in the mountains have the north & south platte rivers ripping right now, higher then they been in years. They have came out of their banks in most areas, flooding a bunch. But you never hear news about this area of BFE Colorado. We got over 9 inches in 2 days in May, about a hour south of me got 19 inches in 48 hours in May.

Neat clouds rolling in this morning, bring in more wet stuff.

Pic didn't turn out as good as it was in person.

Morning folks. Smoke rolled in again yesterday afternoon! Looking to be a mostly cloudy Sunday, with some chance of mother nature's moisture. 64 going to 75. Enjoy the remainder of this weekend!

Good morning men, looks like I am not the only one smoking today. IMG_9842.jpg
Couple of roasts at 225 until they stop climbing. Then wrap and turn up. IMG_9843.jpg. Will eat when they are done, on at 6:30 so...

Happy fathers day to all the fathers! Enjoy the day.

Mornin’ desert crew…70 to 92. Calling for that ol’ hit and miss wet stuff again today…a helluva lot more missing than hitting.

Me thinks if ol’ Munkee would do a little rain dancing instead of sweating to the oldies Richard Simmons-style in that teepee or wigwam erryone might be a little better off in the rain dept.
