Morning gents and Dallas. Talking rain today but it was supposed to rain over night and didn’t. Guess we will see. Running the sprinkler now to help. Got a boneless pork loin going on the smoker this afternoon. Going to let it sweat before I braid it. Time for breakfast

Morning / Evening All. Happy Father’s Day to those that are, it’s been 14 years since I’ve been able to celebrate with my dad, miss him so much some times.

Won’t be firing up the smoker but tried out a new butcher yesterday and have some great looking sirloins I will throwing on the kettle later.

Id like to know as well. I bought a 2 pack of beef short ribs 2 weeks ago and it was 82 dollars for 11.5 pounds though. They were worth it. At the price they will not be a frequent purchase plus I like trying different things on the smoker.

Ribs turned out pretty good yesterday. Enjoyed seeing dad.
Hes a little off kilter and misses mom, but I think getting away for a few helped.
Had the little guy all weekend.
Kids are coming over to grill for lunch.

the amount of food jason eats id hate to see his food bill and im sure thats why he does his side under the desk job
i bought a yearling and had it butchered in feb
it was 473 pounds hanging weight and between buying it and butcher bill i had 1220 bucks in it
id like to know how much it was compared to what i did
i know the beef i got filled up a upright freezer the size of a fridge

$2.573lb hanging is. Good deal, that would be $3.50CAD and it’s over $5/lb locally.

This one was $31.79 (6.5lbs x $4.89/lb). Wasn’t long after I bought several in the 10-14lb range at Publix at $5.79/lb, ‘bout a month later they ran the same at $4.89/lb so I jumped on several of these, and 5-8lb range was the biggest they had during that sale. Think I bought five or six while the getting was good that go ‘round.

What dirt track race did did you check out?

We went to a small dirt track in Chilton, WI. I didn’t realize that Sprint cars were racing in Beaver Dam the same night…should have gone there instead.

We got a bit of rain overnite (just under 0.5" so far, he77 the wafer moved) with more expected during the day, at the non-homestead. Supposedly got a dust settling drizzle at home so, according to a buddy.
