Be careful slacker.
That man is an ARTISTE.
A color Ninja.
I have seen this wif me own eyeballs.
A man who can cut in a full panel window with no tape and a straight China bristle is a force to be reckoned wif...
No NP slackin Gunner.
Old school.

Do yourself a favor and use this under it.
It will allow the solid color to expand and contract with the wood. If you don't use it you will be redoing it every three years trust me. Get a hold of the company and wait. It will be well worth it.
I've done more decks than I care to remember.

I've used this on new, old, peeling doesn't matter. You typically only need one gallon for a deck use only on the horizontal surfaces.
No stores sell it? We have to do ours every 3-4 years like you said and it's covered. Mainly the high traffic area and the steps that are exposed but we do the whole thing. Thanks for the
Tip.

I almost always bore cut these days. Since most of the base of this tree was soft and unsound it was particularly important this time. Between that and the pull rope the chance of the hinge busting and the tree going with it's natural lean into the neighbors garage was greatly minimized. Also left the hinge about twice the size of normal for this size tree. I'd recommend getting things dialed in on small trees. It gets a little trickier the larger they get.
Agreed. Ran into this a few years ago. 30" White Oak with a pronounced lean.
Out front on our property.
It died, so I was taking it down. Noticed it was VERY hollow when I made the face cut. Saw just sank in. Made the notch. Could look inside and up inside the trunk. Only 2" of wood left.
So I made a bore cut into the void from each side and left a "latch" about 6" across at the back.
Revved the CS4400 Echo(only saw I had at the time) wide open and shoved into the "latch". Ran like hell.
Tree went over nice. Trunk exploded when it hit.
Didnt have to split that one.

Love a nice mess of any sunfish scaled and gutted, then fried whole. Heads off prefered. Homemade Hushpuppies with a ton of onions and some jalapeno peppers ground into the mix.
Good stuff.

A buddy and I did that once back in high school at 2AM on a school night with about 2 dozen bluegill we caught. It was a rough morning at school the next day but we ate good.

Yep.
Sometimes it's better to enjoy the times you get off the grid Joe. The rest of its always gonna be there.
