One. Its not the one thats broke.
All but one of my creamsickles melted in the heat.
Most of my stuff is old yellow goodness from Cali.
Working on a little red "truck saw" Homie today.
Well after a few frustrating hours Red is dead(bad carb and oiler pump diaphragm).
Parts would be more than its worth(unless I find a donor). So I'm going wif yellow instead. Needs a carb clean/kit and fix the oiler pump check valve.
Shes minty other than that.
I know, its a Mini Mac...

Evening feelers...

Crooked crispy beetle killed Austrian pine today. You cant tell from the pic but 2/3rds of the top is leaning over the back neighbors yard.

Not a lot of room to work with. I'm standing on the clients deck to take this pic.

Face cut needed to point quite a bit left of where I needed the tree to drop into.

5 minutes of fun then 5 hours of cleaning up all the little bitty crispy pieces:(

I'm learning a bit about that notch geometry you speaks of. Did a heavy leaner last Friday. Was pulling with the loader against the lean, but it still beat up a Maple I was hoping to avoid. If id clocked the notch another 10 degrees left, it woulda missed it when it came over. Also needed to level up the back cut a bit more. Ended up following the trunk more than actual level if that makes any sense.
On a good note, I'm doing a lot better with leveling the saw for face and back cuts, but it was all small trees.

I see you did a bore cut and then "popped the lock". I need to work on that with some of these smaller ones I'll be taking out.

Dis one. XL.
Has the Zama C2S carb. No primer. No auto oiler add on like later ones had. The only parts saw I have is a Super2 with all the primer stuff on it. View attachment 255146

I almost always bore cut these days. Since most of the base of this tree was soft and unsound it was particularly important this time. Between that and the pull rope the chance of the hinge busting and the tree going with it's natural lean into the neighbors garage was greatly minimized. Also left the hinge about twice the size of normal for this size tree. I'd recommend getting things dialed in on small trees. It gets a little trickier the larger they get.
