Didn’t want to steal @TreeLife’s thread. Haven’t had a nice truck since I got married nearly 20 years ago. Cool stuff, yes, but cheap fixers. My ‘95 is (hopefully) at the end of a 2 year tranny swap by my buddy…
We got a 28’ RV trailer real cheap ($2k) from some friends last year and I’ve been looking for a truck to pull it with that the kids can fit in the back seat. Also want to build myself a gooseneck in case my deuce breaks down and so I can buy and sell others. Sold my 4runner when I had the chance and been driving shop trucks or the deuce all the time. It’s nice to have my own truck and something to drive that doesn’t have a list of things to fix on it. Being nice and the payment makes me nervous. Also feels a bit pretentious…I can’t have nice things. My wife asked me if I feel like I got my man card…I told her no, that’s the deuce…this one comes with an Old Man Card. Til I get tires on it maybe…This was a friend of mine’s mom’s. They sold their RV and got a MoHo. ‘11 6.7 Cummins 4x4 with 80k on it.
Put it straight to work!
Ben got to practice his clutch starts, just got his license and Abby got to skate.
