My 04.5 is pushing 300,000 hard miles. I don't regret the purchase at all, it don't owe me a dime even after 2 billet 48re automatic trans, one 11.5 inch rear axle failure, complete front end failure, two turbos, one set of injectors, 4 alternators, 3 starters, 1water pump and next is the transfer case lol. But I have put that truck through more that most, hauling a total of about 500 cords of wood in its lifetime, multiple log skidders, dozers, autos, skidding logs off road on timber sales, stump jumping, and whatnot.
Congratulations on the truck. Take care of it and it will last a long time.

The dodge wasn’t aired down and would t pull that guys truck and RV out, so I went and got the deuce like I knew I should have in the first place. Just let the clutch out slow in 6lo…

…took it for a test runaround later after airing down. Needs 35s, maybe 2” in the front, and proper rock rails. Did go up Sand Dam though. 37BDDE9C-7DCF-43B1-A348-356B6C0A87CE.jpeg

Needs the front/rear locking diffs and 4.10’s from the power wagon too. Might as well keep it a comfortable street hauler truck though. Ya seem to got to off-road stuff covered with the big boy duece anyway.

I do a fair bit of of road recovery…lots of places the deuce can’t fit into or up to (won’t climb dunes) or too far to drive the deuce quickly and comfortably. This dodge is to be the DD/family/tow rig/light off road. The ‘95 on 40s with lockers is for the hard stuff…if I ever get it back.

2005-2013 had 4:56 I wish they still came with 4:56 very capable trucks.

Steeper then it looks in the video, never lost traction, was air down and locked up thou, my friend in his wagon had to make a few passes at this drift to get it open.

I thought about getting a Wagon, but fuel is crazy expensive and I wanted to be able to tow the Deuce on a deuceneck trailer.

Cummins trucks are handy for those chores. I have one also.

You can find tests on foreign country websites showing the KN letting dirt thru. They're for racing engines that get rebuilt often.

The Cummins are perfectly happy with the stock air intake using the 4" filter. The CAI's tend to clog easier and let a lot of stuff through.

Trade it to some kid for the stock set up.
Everyone seems to think they need them on the diesels, but there's nothing wrong with the factory airbox on them.
And the thick stock filter works better than anything I've used
