I bought one, its rubbish.
The rail groove is sloppy like h€ll, I dont remember the measurments on top of my head but, I could easily fit a .063 chain on my .058 bar.
It has a real cheap feel to it, would be fun to try milling with it and see if it last one cut, I would be surprised.

That sounds like the white bars, this is a shiny silver Tsumura looking bar your are talking about right?

Thanks for your input Gurwald. Would also kindly ask you to confirm if it was the white or shiny metalic version. Thanks

I got the shiny one, tsumura look-a-like. Maybe it will hold up for a while, I havnt really felt like even using it so all I can say is it feels cheap and the steel is soft, I test filed it.
Let me go snap some photos, be right back!

I removed the Holzfforma lettering by rubbing some emery cloth for 10 sec, but it's bought from hutzl site.
The rail groove is around 1,8 mm on the bar and like you can see over 2 mm on the tip closest to the bar. Looks like the glue is failing.
It's a 28" 3/8 1,5mm (.058) bar.

Excuse the mess!

I haven't heard enough good about them to get one, though I really do want a rail closer. I just figured if I really needed to, have someone weld the groove, then re grind it if only I had such a grinder.
Get a small table saw at some garage sale then buy a cutting wheel in the thickness you want. Then it's just a matter of squaring up the fence and setting the fence for the exact spacing you want.
I bought a 2x72 belt sander/grinder this spring for a different hobby.I can set one of the tool rest at 90 degrees to the belt and it does an awesome job dressing the rails. You can even get between the sprocket teeth to clean up some of the tip.

Try to see if there's rollers in the bar tip from the grease hole.. I have one similar to this comes with a Chinese saw. POS.

Many thanks Gurwald for taking the time to put together your response. Looks like these clear coat "pro" bars are probably not worth the trouble. Also thanks to the other contributors to this thread. Well impressed with this forum.
Cheers, Matt.

I've got one coming to have a look, realistically will get maybe 1 tank a year use and 1/3 cost of something reputable. I've got a Tsumara 20'' for the majority of fire wood duty.

I’ve tried this with a 3” cut off wheel mounted to a router. Worked like crap and dangerous as hell. Don’t be such a cheep ass and buy the correct size.

Thanks for taking the time to put together your post Hulsty and also to the other contributors. Look like Holzfforma bars still have some room for improvement... My coin will likely be headed towards one of the decent Japanese bars again. Cheers.

Aftermarket bars are the biggest waste of money and time IMO. Oregon bars are usually within 10 bucks or so of the equivalent aftermarket bar... so it only makes sense to spend that little extra for them. Sugi, stihl ES and Cannon aren’t cheap... but they are the toughest normal weight bars I’ve used. You get what you pay for with bars.
