Thanks for the welcome.
We maintain about 35 miles of ATV trails and my stable of saws is very utilitarian.
I only own 3 and they are all homeowner grade .
Craftsman
Poulan
And my main "go to" saw was handed down to me by my late father . A 75 Mini-Mac 30.
I know everyone hates them but it's sentimental value has forced me to become very familiar with her. I believe things can last forever and this little saw gets alot of attention.
It's handy , light and to tell the truth very snotty for its size .
Yes it gets 1/2 a cap full of lead substitute every other tankfull.

You will find that everyone here has opinions about saws, whats good, whats bad, whats junk. I can give you half credit for the Mini-Mac ...it's McCulloch...I would prefer if it had a longer rear handle...but I totally understand the sentimental value behind it! I have several shop tools from both of my grandfathers and a great-grandfather, I enjoy using them because I knew they used them!

Homeowner saws have their place, I had some good size branches come out of a tree last fall and my Husky 440 and Poulan 3150 did a number on it in a short amount of time. Definitely not firewood saws, but they have their place!

That is a nice looking saw. I like the blue paint that Homelite used on their saws!!
