That thing is sweet Larry!!
It was quite the rabbit hole I went down, as I always do, before I bought it. Then, I had to wait two years as they redesigned something on it. But I had already ordered it and paid for it. So I waited. They offered many times to refund my money. Gladly I refused and waited. Of course they doubled in price when they became available again. I got mine for what I paid. I have only burned kerosene so far, but it is supposed to burn just about anything flammable.

It sure is! Dietz #90 D-Lite.

It has been my lantern of choice for camping and cabin trips the past couple of years. It's silent and isn't harsh on the eyes. That was my annoyance with the Coleman's. This thread has got me going and I am going to play with the colemans again. I am interested to see how the amber globe does.

You ever wanna sell that D-Lite let me know.

@FergusonTO35 - sure thing! Maybe we can work out a trade on saw parts or something. Send me a PM if you want.

I’m out in the woods staying at my buddies cabin, took all my Coleman’s to play with. Tomorrow it’s testing some saws and firewood.

New addition arrived today. 1/76 Canadian 335. Oiled the pump cup, tightened the valve and tip cleaner packing nuts a little, tied on a new mantle and away she went.

Nice! Love those big single mantle lamps. Next one I'm looking for is a 321a.

I have picked up a pile of chainsaws over the years at the dump.
My eye is tuned to spot chains, bars, and complete saws at a glance.
Because of this thread now Colman products are included in the algorithms.
Found this guy yesterday in the latest steel pile that was dumped.colman.jpg colman b.jpg colman c.jpg

Sweet, my grandfather had one of those. Coleman fuel is $20.00 a gallon here so that would be a pricey way to heat.

Grabbed me a 220E today. It's a 62 model and in pretty good shape. I have it disassembled on the bench, gonna clean everything and hopefully have it going once I get some mantles. Looks like at some point someone painted the frame. I am going to strip that and just high temp clear coat it. The paint and enameled hood polished up nicely.

So what are the more desirable Coleman gas latern models?
I went shopping the local antique malls about 3 weeks ago & saw a ton of vintage Colemans.

For me it'd be 242-200-nickle 2xx's and just about any other single mantles .
There are A LOT of different Coleman models ...kinda hard to name them all .
If you get back there take some pics and post them .

Anything that is colorfull too. Yellow is the most desirable for some because they are scarce. Blue is next and everybody wants a red 200a. The Christmas lanterns which are red and green are cool and the burgundy ones are neat. I really want a red dual mantel but so does everyone else!
