Nice blue/black 243. very hard to find one with good paint on the fount.

That was actually a repaint..when I found it it was a bare brass fount .
I do have another 243 with original paint that's in really nice shape

Very nice repaint then. I couldn't tell from the pic but the color is perfect.

Yeh they’re proud of the 200A Gold Bonds…even the 200A reds get crazy money.

The overseas market on the 200's is absolutely ridiculous
I want a GB bad but I won't pay eBay prices that's for sure .

I saw the one on EBay for $3500, which is there now…I think they can hold on to that one. Remember running across a few many years ago on EBay and they were stupid high then.

Last one I saw on eBay was all beat up and rusty. Porcelain missing all over the hat. I know it went over a grand. What is wrong with people?

There was a large Coleman manufacturing plant not far from me in Pocola, Oklahoma.
It was there for many, many years.
When they closed down they auctioned off everything including their large vintage collection of all things Coleman.
I didnt go, but happened to be driving by that day & it was PACKED with buyers.

Here is a vintage kerosene stove made by Primus No 100
The makers mark on the bottom dates it as a 1936.
It has been modified since 36, the valve says made in Canada on it which is not stock.
Body is all brass with engraved lettering

Be sure to give it a GOOD preheat..I use denatured alcohol in mine and it works great !

Yes, preheat and use kerosene that is as fresh as possible. I always noticed that with old fuel it was definitely not as bright and more likely to flame out.
