Have you ported many? How did you find them after porting, do they run the same as mahle?

I have yet to do any. So far I've been able to get saws with Mahle top ends.

Yeah the Gilardoni jugs on the early Pioneer saws were works of art, as were the Gilardonis on larger Husqvarnas in the late 70's/early 80's.

A 461 never excited me. I had more than a couple ms460 and 044 that I enjoyed. Then again, they probably didn't have lack luster cylinders.

I didn’t run it. Took it out the box and stripped it. I am tempted to put it back together and try it before I port it. I just assumed it was a mahle.

Yeah might wanna do that if you don’t have a dyno. What’s the point of porting if you don’t know what your baseline is?

Yes. All the top ends I've bought over the last few years have had single ring pistons.
