I cut up some of this tree (40" at the butt Douglas Fir) with a 262xp...

Anything that kicks like a mule starting and has reed valves for sure. 90cc or so is about where I would think they start. Modern saws still don't sound as good as these older reed valve and some of the long stroke Sachs.

Funny thing is Mike, my Super 1050 is a real easy pull, especially for a 100cc blowing north of 200psi....

Once she's running I think it'll clear brush just with the blast out of the exhaust.

I think so. I always heard 6.0 cubic inch, but I'll tell u what the 288xp is worthy of a title.
