Muffler mods

That might be tricky. I'd probably cut the deflector off and start over.

Depending on what muffler, I'd try to get a screen held put with a screw

You can cut a slot in the back of the deflector, right against the can. Then slide the screen in and screw down the front.

I braze the deflector on.....that would melt the screen.
