I dont like any muffler outlet that directs the exhaust at the wood.
Besides the risk of catching fire, the saw and operator are taking in exhaust spew.
Sucking exhaust in, whether it be the saw or the operator, just isnt good.

Not sure if you’re referring to the pic I posted, but I still run the stock deflector with the three gills, I did open them up a bit. The wood catching on fire is not a good thing. My 441 has a complete stock muffler, but it gets against the wood and will make embers on long cuts, guess I need a bigger set of dogs.

Well my welding is as ugly as sin. The muffler was As thin as thin and keep burning through.

I was using.35 wire and a Lincoln 256 I couldn’t run it cool enough..

What I do is to weld the pipe on from the inside of the muffler so that way my ugly weld do not show.
This is EMT bent and welded together and then welded to the muffler from the inside.

Hello guys,

I would like to show you my tries on some muffler mods for a 372. As you see I´m not a pro-welder. I tried hard soldering wiith silver and brass. I´m getting better and better.

but damn, she barks now!!

I will be honest and say that the dual pipe chromed one i do not like at all.

but

the dual pipe black one with the different size pipes is really really nice. It looks good man, welds are clean and it looks like oem quality.
Thumbs up for sure!!!!

THANK YOU! I´ll do my very best
Well thats not chrome at all, it´s just stainless steel and a first try. It looks fancy, but I agree, I like the one with the different sized pipes a lot more. And i painted it with oven paint.

I did a small video...

Nice Henrik. It seemed like your tune was a bit rich throughout the entire cut. Muffler sounded good.
