Back to work after a weeks vacation.
I came back monday realized I wasn't ready so I took yesterday off too. This is really my second monday. So far im on my third cup of coffee. Im debating doing some work.
I was out for a week too.
Except last Thursday.....I thought it would be a good idea to travel 1.5hrs each direction from the lake to work. Plans were to travel Thurs and Friday......well......I made the trip in on Thursday and said NOPE.....not doing that tomorrow. So I ended up taking last Friday off too. The idea was to save some vacation time for another trip......didn’t pan out that way.

Come out to the west coast it’s not that uncommon of a practice to run 8 pin with a 32 on a 70cc saw in bar length wood.

They don't believe you.

I bought a 460r a few years ago from a guy that moved down here, from the PNW.

It had a 32" bar and 8 pin on it.

1st thing I did was swap a 6 pin spur on it, and 16" bar, so I could cut wood with it.....(j/k on that part)

That sounds like a good set up for rail road ties

Here neither.

Good thing it was only Poplar or it would be unpopular.

Nice try sir ,i know you used a 395 to fall that ,then set the saw there for the photo ,because that saw no way will pull that bar .I can vouch for that because it used to be mine .28 only ,i read it elsewhere too ,who you tryin to fool .

I really like the fresh ties, the railroad leaves in stacks by road crossings, instead of the old worn out ties that they remove from under the tracks.

Fresh ties burn so much better, really take the chill out of the house on a cold winters morning....I can get my wood stove glowing nice cherry red....in no time.
