I have struggled with the same issue and believe that a change in design have been done in 2013-14. Got a nice but broken ms-211c from 2018 with ms-171/181 cylinder design and 40mm piston, something I didn't know when I ordered a new cylinder kit from Farmatec. (Don't know what previous owners done with it, wrong mixture?!) The "main cap" on the other hand has the early ms-211 design! (pic) The right cylinder only seems to exist as an original.
Now the question is, should I buy an new intake (does it fit the carburetor?) and try the Farmatec cylinder or treat myself the luxery of an original cylinder. Decision anxiety!
