Interesting to compare the times to displacement. The difference in displacement is 6%, the difference in cut times is 7%.

There's not that much difference between them on the amount of work they will do using the available displacement.

I always liked it when someone could take a smaller engine and kick the azz of a bigger engine. I think it is something left over from going to the dragstrips back in the 60s.

Seem like a nice saw to work on port these 462's, much better than mixing 2part JB filling intakes & getting your hands dirty like the 661.

You mean like my little 4.9 Liter engine in the Stang with 3 V, VCT, Whipple Twin Screw Intercooled SC etc running like my old built 427 big block did?

I really like the saw. I cut for years with one of the first run 362cm saws with no issues. I’ve been waiting for a lightweight MTronic saw that can run a 28 all day and occasionally pull a 32. I’m an east coast guy so that’s all I need.
For me it checks all the boxes, but I’m admittedly biased.

Ford small block was lighter, and IIRC, the 289 Cobras and GT-350s ate their lunch at the track!

Remember when they asked Shelby when he was going to put IRS in the Mustang like the Vette had, and he just replied "they're winning ain't they"?

Depends on when and where … for example, the 427 Ford finished 1,2 and 3 in the 1966 24 hour of Lemans … very tough to beat that accomplishment. I could go on, but I won't.
