By the way gyus does anyone know what is this black thing coming out the muffler??? Always when i get a new saw or rebuild one (Piston- Cylinder), I add 40:1 oil mix for the break in. ...and always this thing happens on the first tank!!! I has not been a problem for me. I have a 5-6 years old MS261 which has a P/C like a new.

That's what I think!!! It happens always on every first tank. I check my saws twice a year and never had an issue!

Once the filter is off, how do you tighten it back on. They didn’t bother pointing that out. Must be dealer only info.

By the way today I realized that the air filter is not the same as in the other saws (MS241-261-362). It looks the same but it is slightly bigger

I didn't show the pleats and should have, they are white not black. Calling it HD3...
