Not that I’m defending the guy at all as I think he’s a massive scammer but I ordered a new max flow for my 661 last week when they were on sale at HL Supply. Even on sale with shipping and the exchange rate I paid just over $126 for it. But of course the 661 max flow is more expensive then the rest of them.
“Starting at 136.95”.............

The 661's are the most expensive. Most other kits are just below $60. Shipping to Canada sucks!

Husky has holes drilled in the 371, 550, 562 and 576 clutches. They are much smaller than what that guy did though lol. I think that will end up just letting more debris back there being that big of an opening.

Obviously the guy missed the mark. Should have formed little paddles in the drum and called it a turbo chip extractor system. Easily worth another hundred or three. (Horse power)
Ya think :facepalm:

Tiny holes like 1/8" I'm thinking every half inch or so
@huskyboy
Pics of the Husky clutches with holes?:elboinas:

OE has many oval holes. Oregon AM has four quarter inch holes. Bet the drum is thicker in the side area.

Now if one were to fit a 390xp heavy duty west coast clutch (the coil spring style that is optional on a 390xp) to a 372 that would be a actual upgrade. If it were even able to be fitted on there. That would do something rather than drilling huge unnecessary holes. Besides, a 372 standard clutch is plenty strong as is, I find they are more durable than a 1128 stihl clutch or 64/73/7900 clutch.

No real way to improve my 660 but cooling if needed. Going to set up a test run for the sled after another shower. No real wood here to mill but tomorrow it gets buried in old red oak. I missed the morning window and wifey asked me to back off for a few days in the thick air, meh...maybe. Feels good to do something this summer other than exist and feel worthless. Last clutch I smoked was, never. I changed out many purple clutches with lucy loose springs of all types and manufacturers.

Nothing beats a smoked 039/390 all welded up! Supa Genius...winner winner....

The 372 clutch will pull just fine with a ported saw burying a 36" bar. I'm not sure it would benefit much from any Improving.

Ever drive a Hellcat? Manage the clutch or replace it often.
I've never driven a Hellcat but remember my big block 66 El Camino was steer by throttle. The clutch peddle was mostly just a get outo of jail free card when it got too crossed up. It sure was fun driving 45 mph 45 degrees taking up two lanes as you went down the road. Getting stuck on hills in the rain, as though it were ice, wasn't much though. Keep you foot OFF the clutch is generally best for clutch life.
