It runs Really nice, and has very good manners. If I was in the market for a saw that size I would have to take a hard look at that model.
Kevin did a good job on it.
Thanks Matt !
Probably going to have to keep her as is for a while, my new KX250 killed muh stash

They are supposed to be for sale at HL Supply in October. They will be available in both 064 base pattern, and 066.

The piston that comes with them is a very good looking piece. I think the exhaust ended up a little too square, but the two samples I saw had a very nice bevel, so that shouldn't be a problem. We left the exhaust port about stock width too, so ring wear should not be a issue.
Do you have a ballpark idea what the price will be on these?

How well does the KS jug with high exhaust run?
I've never ran it but it probably won't run bad.
I believe they made them for one year and the 2 cylinders from that year that I have are at 93 and 98. Crazy how much they vary.
I've never even tried porting one, with the exhaust that high and the base through thin it isn't a good candidate.

Yup, she's got s little more grunt

The coil you used was it the new one we both installed.Did you have to replace the throttle linkage as well or are they interchangeable
I kept the throttle linkage, just had to get used to her different starting manners.

I used the European non m-tronic coil
