Here's the trans kinda marked at 125. When you deal with a dome piston you just can't slide the ring up and know that's where you will be. I will grind up close and then check it looking threw the ports. Right now I'm marked at 110/115/85. 85 is roughly where the intake fell. And the intake is about 43% the width of the cylinder. So I will widen it some but not touch where it goes to a point other than some blending. 20160114_125304.jpg

Know on the intake. This is roughly where it sits at bdc. So while there good room to widen. You do need to be leary of the lower ring pin location. 20160114_130825.jpg

If it's a small intake tract and carb it may need that much time

On that thinking this is what I did. She is roughed in like superman. Lmao. I widened it to roughly 55% but angled the top corners down to make sure I have plenty of room to clear the ring end. Which I have more than plenty!

Here's a pic of the motor sitting at roughly 73°. Now between here and 85 it's gonna close really fast!

Ok I have to admit. Being able to check you work is cool. While I'm not sure I'll be able to match the step approach angle of the small intake side trans. I can see on the exhaust side I'm not quite pulling it around far enough. :)20160114_145758.jpg
