Ran one those 16s on a Tussey Mountain log home job.
No fencing the shoe. Keep the heel, back, of the saw high, run it in then quick drop to avoid checking out log face.
I got real good with it. Others at the job were intimidated and would not touch it.
It was loaned from the log sellers.

Sent a new chain adjuster screw to a machine shop with my neighbor today. He's going to check the hardness and make me a better one and heat treat it. Told him get me a price if he wants to make more.

I also fired up the lathe for the first time yesterday. Got started on my first bowl. Wood is Flaming Box Elder. Waiting on a upgrade on a chuck so I can finish the bowl. Had a standing dead Elm fall behind the house this winter. Went and cut some rounds to make some blanks out of.

Made a few more things. First is a white oak bowl that was a cut off from the slab I used for the bench top.
